Where can you Learn New "cab" CPR, AED, First Aid, Healthcare Provider BLS or ACLS?

Always make sure your AHA testing center is accredited and will give you cards the same day or within one week.  Do not take and do not be fooled by other sites that offer only  "online" cards that you can print or get in the mail.  For allied health professionals, nannies, nurses, doctors, therapists and others, you must take both a written test and a practical skills test.

BLS HCP Online Part 1 offers a flexible CPR training option for healthcare professionals. This program recognizes that healthcare professionals enter the course with knowledge and skills acquired from prior CPR training and years of patient care. How it works: Part 1. Students complete the online, cognitive portion of the course, either at the workplace or anywhere with Internet access. When students finish the online portion, a certificate of completion will be available for them to print. The certificate is required to complete Part 2 at an authorized American Heart Association Training Center. Part 2. Students complete the skills validation test with an American Heart Association Instructor. Upon successful completion of both parts, students will be issued an American Heart Association BLS – Healthcare Provider Course Completion Card. This course is for those working in a medical clinic, dental office, hospital or physical therapy office. The course will involve infant, child and adult CPR and AED. Participants must demonstrate proficiency using the Ambu-mask/bag while performing Rescue breathing and/or CPR. Students are asked to complete a pre-test prior to training. Every few years the American Heart Association gets together with other members of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) to evaluate the latest research surrounding CPR and emergency cardiac care (ECC). This includes : American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) and others emergency and healthcare organizations. These guidelines are based on a systematic, evidence-based review of resuscitation science. The science is always changing, which is why American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and ECC are updated every five years, with additional Scientific Statements released when necessary. In late 2010, the American Heart Association will publish new guidelines for CPR and ECC based on the scientific consensus of leaders in international resuscitation science.
